Treatment of jaw joint (CMD, bruxism, parafunctions)
More and more often dentists identify dysfunctions of the jaw joints (craniomandibular dysfunction, CMD). As a patient you receive a prescription due to teeth grinding, ground teeth, headaches, migraine or dizziness. We are treating in accordance with the CMD aix concept.
Following an effective screening and different tests, the respective dysfunction will be treated. The causes for the dysfunction can be of muscular or arthrogenic origin or even result from the spine or the sacroiliac joint. The dysfunctions will be treated extraoral or intraoral.
Duration of treatment: 15-50 minutes.

Gentle massage technique to stimulate the lymphatic system in order to reduce swellings resulting from surgery, for example.

Passive treatments
Electrotherapy
Therapeutic electrical stimulations will be placed by locally applying electrodes on the skin and the underlying tissue. The goal of this is to improve the blood flow, reduce pain, relax the muscles or treat axonal injury.

Heat packs are used to support muscle relaxation after massages or as a thermal stimulus to reorganize the sensory system.
